Helen Buckingham was born in London, 1960, and now lives in Bristol. Her poems have been published in journals and anthologies throughout the world and have been performed live and on BBC Radio.

Her haiku and senryu have appeared in journals and anthologies throughout the world, including A New Resonance 5: Emerging Voices in English-Language Haiku (Red Moon Press, 2007). Her work has also been placed in a number of competitions, such as the HIA, the Hackett and the Basho Memorial. She is a member of the British Haiku Society.

Helen Buckingham's poetic preoccupations range from the dark to the humorous to the darkly humorous; from the free verse through the shrink-wrapped to the sonnet. They all meet here to provide a taster of her work over the past twenty years since she first began putting pen and pain to paper.
